Physical education and health teacher, Tedd Markos, brought his passion for ping pong to Vanguard School. Several years ago, he created make-shift ping pong tables using sheets of plywood that he painted and laid on top of tables. He mounted nets on them, brought in paddles and balls and the fun began. Ping pong has been a Viper favorite ever since.

Vipers are Expressing Themselves
A recent unit in Vanguard's "Integrated Studies" class focused on abstract expressionism. Integrated Studies combines several disciplines, including history, art and English in one class. This topic offered historical, social and artistic aspects for research and study. The culminating assignment for this unit challenged students to create their own works of art.
